3x30ml Black refill ink for HP 61 61XL cartridge Deskjet 1050 2050 3050 1000 3000 Review
OK, so: this thing works, you just gotta be very careful with it, and disregard part of the instructions.
The first time I tried this, I injected the full 30mls into an XL cartridge. It leaked out at least half of it and made a huge mess everywhere, and even ruined the cartridge and made it unrecognizable by the printer.
The XLs are supposed to be 25mls but either this ink works differently or HP is screwing us
After a couple months I was a bit daunted to try again seeing the huge mess I made last time, and I waited until we were out of ink to even risk it.
This time I very, very slowly injected only 2/5 of the syinge into the cartridge, and you know what? It still leaked out of the bottom!
This time, though, I was able to carefully clean it up with a (by which I mean several) tissue, leaving the cartridge unharmed. After I was sure it wasn't leaking, I pulled a bit of ink back into the syringe (very carefully) just to be safe, popped it into the printer, and Voila! It worked!
I'm typing this review only minutes after I saw it work, so I'll make an update later if something goes wrong.
My main suggestion: You know how the syringe looks like it's a 5-layer weird folding thing? Get an XL cartridge and only inject 1/5 of the syringe (one fold) in.
Good luck!
P.S. If indeed HP is indeed screwing us and the cartridge only holds 8mls or something, that would explain how the ink runs out so damn fast!
