HI-VISION HI-YIELDS Compatible Toner Cartridge Replacement for Brother TN315 (Black) Review

At first, this Product would not recognize my Brothers MFC 9970CDW printer despite following directions on package. After replacing the toner, the printer still reads replace K cartridge or black toner. However, a few months later, I read a review by Ross Kendall regarding the printer (search brothers MFC9970CDW printer to see his review). He explained how to reset the printer by:

1- Turn on printer
2- Open front door to access toners
3- Hit the "Start" button for the Black and White copies on the right side of control panel
4- Quickly type in the number "10" on the numerical keypad (1 then 0, quickly in succession)
5- You will see a toner menu. Simply pick your color(s) and capacities and reset as needed.

Menu reads as follows:

K.TNR-STD - Black - Standard
K.TNR-HC - Black - High Capacity
K.TNR-S.HC - Black - Super High Capacity
C.TNR-STD - Cyan - Standard
C.TNR-HC - Cyan - High Capacity
C.TNR-S.HC - Cyan - Super High Capacity
M.TNR-STD - Magenta - Standard
M.TNR-HC - Magenta - High Capacity
M.TNR-S.HC - Magenta - Super High Capacity
Y.TNR-STD - Yellow - Standard
Y.TNR-HC - Yellow - High Capacity

Now my printer is able to recognize the compatible toners without any problems. However, sometimes the first print is not good. Therefore, I print a second time to get a better copy. Despite this minor flaw, the compatible toner works pretty well especially the cheap price. If any problems arises, I will update my review.

In addition, Scott M. Portis (same review of Printer) recommends always choose super high capacity because brothers company programs the printer to post replace toner sooner than necessary when it may still have about 50% left.

NOTE: Keep an eye on the printouts when they start to gray/fade out or you get hazing on the page you will need to replace the cartridge. Be extra careful when you do as toner is more likely to go everywhere with reset cartridges."
