For starters, I misinterpreted the description of the ink as "blue/black." To me that suggested it was a combination pack of blue and black cartridges, which was exactly what I wanted. Not so much. Instead of a mix of blue and black cartridges, it's a pack of 5 cartridges that are supposed to be a blue-black, I suppose aiming for a midnight blue tint.

If it had really been that, I'd have considered that a pleasant surprise. I like that color and would have used it happily. However, when on paper, the ink itself only really looks like that in the right light, and if you get a bold enough line. Most of the time it looks a little grey or washed out, like a black cartridge that was diluted with a little too much water, and maybe just enough blue tint to hint at what it ought to look like. I started to throw the remaining cartridges away, but decided to keep them just in case I ran out of ink sometime. They aren't terrible enough not to use, but I would not buy them on purpose.
