Due to the cost of Samsung toner cartridges we've tried the "compatible replacement" toners for our Samsung printer but they didn't work. Apparently Samsun has a pattern for the metal contacts on the toner cartridges; and from what I've read, it is this way specifically to keep people from being able to use generic toner cartridges. So when this printer dies, we'll be looking at other brands that toner is either more reasonably priced or will accept "compatible" cartridges.

BUT, these cartridges work just fine, as they are described. But obviously cost too much.
