I use standard laser/copy paper for most print jobs, so I'm very pleased with this purchase and will buy again. However I use 100% cotton paper and envelopes for formal letters, and this off-label ink smudges off the 100% cotton paper. The Brother brand toner does not smudge, so there is a drop in quality in using this off-label toner. However, for use on standard laser/copy paper, you won't notice any difference in quality. When filling the cartridge with this toner, don't get any toner on the printer drum to avoid vertical black streaks on your print jobs. This happened to me, but I cleaned the printer drum, and that took care of the problem.
