I recently purchased this ink for my HP CP2025 because like most, I was looking for a good deal. I will share my findings starting with the positive.
I am doing some relatively high accuracy color work requiring both printer and monitor calibration. After painstakingly calibrating the HP cartridges I had concerns about 3rd party ink. After replacing the cartridges and doing some test prints without recalibrating the printer, I was impressed to see that the ink was basically spot on. I have since recalibrated for the new inks and remain satisfied with the results.

Now for what we all love to read about, the CON's.
Being satisfied with the color accuracy, I commenced printing a small batch of 15 full color with text pages on Kromekote High Gloss card stock. This is the same paper I have done at least 500 prints of identical pages on the provided HP Cartridges without having a single misprint.
As I thumbed through the printout from the aftermarket inks i noticed there was significant amount ink residue being deposited sporadically across the page. Often times there was a ghosted image resembling whatever image was printed just in front of it on the page. Running My fingers across the images caused the toner to literally pull off the page. Needless to say this makes for unacceptable prints.
Next, thinking the issue might be the toner not being compatible with the gloss, I ran some 80lb card stock through the printer only to find that the problem persisted.
Running out of options and feeling like I had just wasted a couple hundred dollars, I ran one final test with some cheap light weight paper.And just like that, Viola! Problem fixed!
As far as I can tell, the toner is either a lower quality toner, or at the least not engineered specifically for HP printers. On the heavier paper weights, the drum most likely is not hot enough to cause the toner to bond to the paper. With thin paper, the paper heats up faster allowing for a bond to occur.
In conclusion, if your needs are that of say an office where the printer is used mostly for text and there is no need for the use of heavier stock, this ink should be fine. If however you use your printer as I do, for full color brochures where heavier paper weights are often called for, this ink is a no go. Save yourself $250 and a big hassle and just pony up for the HP cartridges.
