XEROX 113R00723 High Capacity Cyan Toner Cartridge For Phaser 6180 Review

I ordered this high capacity cyan toner cartridge right after the previous one was installed in the printer. I always order the replacements immediately so that I have them on hand. It was stored indoors in a heated room until it was needed and installed in mid-September 2012. But early October, I noticed a dim repeating wavy cyan pattern on the pages that had colors that called for the cyan toner. Those 'wave' patterns were about 3/4 inch long, and about 3/4 inch apart all the way across the page, side-to-side, and the rows were repeated all the way down the page with about 1 1/2 inches between the rows. It took about 3 pages without the use of cyan in the pages before the rows faded away and were no longer being printed. It appears that the roller on the cartridge must be damaged somehow. Replacing the cartridge with a new one eliminated the problem.

Since I had stored the faulty cartridge for several months before using it and finding the problem, it is too late to return. I was only able to print a few pages before the problem occurred. This cartridge is "Genuine Xerox" and looks like all the others I have used. So I am out $190 for a useless cartridge, with no recourse. I'd give zero stars if I could.

Update: (same day as review) Amazon responded to an email I sent them with a copy of the review, with the message that they would allow me to return the cartridge and provided a pre-paid UPS label for the return.
